TOURIST INFORMATION NOVIGRAD (ISTRIA) |

Novigrad (Croatia, Istria) is tourist center situated on west coast of Croatian largest peninsula Istra. It was developed on islet and joined to the mainland in 18th century.
Novigrad passed through Byzantium, Frankish, German, Venetian, Napoleon, Austro-Hungarian and Italian administration and it collected large cultural and historical heritage. Protector of Novigrad is St. Pelagius, celebrated on 28th of August.

Novigrad riviera is stretching from Dajla on north to delta of river Mirna on south. Shore is well-indented, with many bays, rocky and pebble beaches. You can find accommodation in many hotels, camps, rooms and apartments.

For fun you can use one of many sport terrains, in any time of a day, or you can visit some of nights bars, dance terraces or casinos. During the summer there is organized fishermen`s party.

Attractions to visit in Novigrad:
- Parish Church with three names, of St. Mary, St. Maximilian and St. Pelagius;
- Church of St. Agatha on graveyard from 10th or 11th century;
- City walls from 13th century;
- Town loggia from 16th century;
- on peninsula Karpinjan there is palace of family Rigo;
- Dajla – settlement, bay and small port, one of very rare Istrian stantias close to the sea.
