Krk (Croatia, Kvarner, Island Krk) is administrative headquarter of the island of Krk, even since 3 000 years ago. But the new age coming, it has kept its heritage. Today's walls are mostly since Middle ages, and some parts, including walls around franciscan monastery, castle and along the coast are from roman colonisation rate. There are four gates entering the old part of a city. On the northern part there is St. Francis church, mentioned since 1277. There are 4 franciscan monasteries. In the main square, called Vela placa, you can visit town hall dating since 15th century, with a clock showing 24 hours, separating day and night time.

Krk has well protected port. Waterfront is the most popular tourist gathering place, with high quality and cosy ambience next to the coast. There are boats bypassing around the island, where you can see islands such as Prvic, Goli otok, Rab... At the city waterfront there is a possibility for youngest to ride a donkey. Dating since 16th century, Krk's fair has become very popular among the tourists. It includes city guard, torches, city personages and live music from that age.
