Lopar (Croatia, Kvarner, Island Rab) is situated on island Rab, 110 km from Rijeka and 190 km from Zagreb.
Lopar has a legend of St. Marino who was born in Lopar 17 centuries ago. He was a stone-cutter who was displaced from peninsula Apenini cause of his christian believes. On a hill Titan he built a church where today`s town San Marino developed.
Lopar has 2 churches, of St. John the Baptist and of Holy Virgin Mary.
For all guests of Lopar there has been organized traditional tournament in crossbow shooting.
Lopar has rich forest and many beautiful sand beaches. Most known is Heaven`s beach, 1,5 km long.
