Kornati (North Dalmatia, Croatia) is a group of islands located in region North Dalmatia. Kornati is consisted of 140 islands, islets and cliffs. Most of the islands (89) are part of National Park Kornati, which was declared as National Park in 1980. National Park Kornati has area of around 220 km2.

Kornati islands are one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Croatia. It has clean and clear sea and many rocks of which most of the island is consisted.

There are no settlements on Kornati islands, but there were found remains of Ilirs` settlements. Today there are only remains of forts and dwelings kept. For example: Vila rustica in Proversa, fort Tureta on island Kornat, basilica in the bottom of fort Tureta, Church of the Lady of Tarca, settlement on island Piskera...
