Babino Polje (Croatia, Dalmatia, Region Dubrovnik), in past, was largest Venetian settlement. Village is in te centre of island of Mljet. Near the village is fertile field and a broad, and the village was named Babino Polje by it. There are several caves near village, Movrica (100 metres long) and Ostasevica (400 metres long).

Also, there is Veliki Grad, with highest peak on the island, 514 metres. Veliki Grad is covered with underbrush and pine forests. Around island are olive-groves, vineyards and gardens. On the coast is cliffs and coves with amazing beaches, Sutmiholjska and Brnjestrova.

Beautiful beaches you can find in Sobra, distance is 4 kilometres. In Babino Polje you can find rooms, apartments (private accommodation). You can hunt in the forrest. If you need any informations, you can find it in "Hunting Society Jelen". Distances: 6 km to Sobra harbour, 18 km to Polaca.
